I am NOT open minded
April 22, 2008 at 11:46 pm | In Bible Thoughts | 3 CommentsTags: open minded
As a Christian, there are some things I am open minded about. Such as… sushi. However, when it comes to the important things, I am definitely close minded or seeking to be close minded. I am close minded when it comes to:
Genesis being correct.
The other 65 books of the Bible while I am at it.
Jesus was God.
Jesus paid for the price of sin to save sinners.
I am a sinner.
I am saved by the grace of God.
Some things are right and others wrong.
It is ok to say that something is wrong.
Jesus taught intolerance practiced rightly.
God hates sin.
God loves; therefore he must hate.
God loves me; therefore I love him – therefore I must also hate.
The purpose of man is to glorify God.
“Merely having an open mind is nothing; the object of opening a mind, as of opening the mouth, is to shut it again on something solid.” G.K. Chesterton
P.S. If something on here offends you or you do not understand it, just leave a comment and I can explain.

Yay! I am not open-minded either!
Have you noticed that the call to ‘open your mind’ and tales of how people (like Oprah) just opened their mind, reveals how they were seduced into embracing lying spirits and demons with false doctrines and all sorts of ‘new age’ and ‘new spirituality’ stuff, completely unaware of the source of the things that they became ‘open’ to?

Now how in the world can you be open minded with sushi!
I concur though… well all except the sushi part.
